Injustice Anywhere Poster

This quote comes from Dr. Martin Luther King’s 1963 Letter from a Birmingham Jail. In it, he urged his fellow clergymen to take direct action against unjust and immoral laws. Any form of injustice has a ripple effect and will eventually pervade an entire nation. Mass incarceration, the War on Drugs, police brutality, censorship, and tyrannical mandates cause systemic decay, a loss of trust in the government, and are an overall deficit for a nation. Simply talking about the issues is not enough; instead, one must work to enact tangible change, present realistic solutions, and then work to make sure that these positive changes are not reversed. Equality under the law, specifically equality of opportunity, is the cornerstone of our constitutional republic and must be preserved at all costs.
